About

Welcome to the Flying Armchair, your ticket to adventures in magnificent lands, all from the comfort of your chair! Not that we expect you to actually be in an armchair, but, you know, Flying Armchair sounds much better than Flying Office Chair or Flying Exercise Ball.

So what is this site, really? It’s the brain malfunctions child of Otter, a twenty-something introverted adventurer at heart who sometimes has qualms about going outside her door but constantly dreams about a land far away – the Land of the Morning Calm – Korea.

She taught English in Taiwan last year, and though she’s back in the States for a brief stint in University, her heart was captured and kept by Asia. As soon as she graduates, she’s moving back for a career in education.

I was going to write you a letter, hoping it would reach you before you left (having not the foggiest as to when you were going to make your exit from the country), when what should I receive in my inbox? A jolly email from y’self! Your blog is charmingess itself, and I utterly look forward to following your Asian Adventures. =] Much hugs to you, dear gel. <3 Bertie ;]

    • Bertie! My dear chappie! I too have been thinking of you often, and I’m so glad you took the time to comment! Do indeed keep up with my foibles and follies in the great Orient!
