Recently we went walking in a small town. It was a beautiful windy day; the typhoon was still going through, so the weather was perfect.
There’s an old sugar cane factory there; apparently you can get a train ride through it.
This is a bike bridge over the river. It’s beautiful at night when all the lights come on.
An old bunker, maybe.
Views from the bridge. It’s Moon Festival time now, so there are a lot of fires, fireworks, and general celebrations going on.
View through the bridge. Don’t be fooled; those plants are about twenty or thirty feet below me.
Bumps to keep mopeds off the bridge. We’re supposed to bike through them?
The path continues in a long route to 7-11; we took the more direct route through town.
Some fruit trees by the road.
Getting into town. This is a rice field blowing in the wind.
On the outskirts of town.
A small taste of Taiwan.
